Shit SB Types to a Very Good Friend

I think men just don't need to be around us the way we feel we need to be around them. They need some independence. Usually the girl they stay with long-term is the one who has a life of her own. It's that perverse human tendency: we always want THE MOST to be around the people who really need us or want us THE LEAST. Supply and demand, baby.

I don't know about all men but most I've known hate the clingy woman. However, they also tend to want to keep tabs on their woman - they'd prefer them at home cooking them dinner, but if it shuts them up, they can go get a job somewhere - as long as they know where they are. Meanwhile, they don't want to be accountable for their own time. They want to own but not be owned.

Other than cats, there is no one I want to be around, even, let's say, 3 times a week. 2 is good. Just two...and oddly, (most) of the men I date start to take exception with that after a while. But then they say women are too clingy. WHATEVAH.

It's a tough one. I love being with The Actor but I also love my time to myself. We still haven't moved in together after five years. We probably will though.

Hope you're ok dear SB. Love you xx

I like this thought very much. I have found it so true in my life.

True, except for us co-dependent jack asses. We actually want to be with those we love. Although I also like my alone time too!

Jeannie,
I hear ya, babe.

Mary,
I love being around cats, too. Good company. I also like walking alone in graveyards. Same reason.

Christina,
The Viking and I will probably wind up the same way. Since we live next door to one another, it's pretty convenient.

Okay, I prolly need to read the otehr comments, but I have to say this: you are right about the supply and demand thing, yes. Here's the deal with men, though. They can fucking act like free fucking birds all they want, but they can't fucking live without us. They can't be alone, and I can site bell book and candle to support that! (is it bell book and candle? I can't remember) Anyway, men FREAK OUT when they aren't with some one! Some men lose their minds without TWO or THREE of us. It's easier to get laid as a woman, for sure. It basically just takes showing up. Marriage? even easier.

I honestly think we need to wise up and ignore their asses. But, what do I know?
