A Truism from SB

American ARE lazy. They DO take the path of least resistance. And also, we have the attention spans of fruit flies.

As I look around, it seems to me what you say is true about all too many people. But not about you and me, of course.

Denny,
Not about you, but I must say it's true about me. Laugh. I was raised as a Methodist--if the sermon is any longer than 15 minutes--you've lost me.

Love you.

Here's what I think- I think we're mostly born with short attention spans and only develop longer ones as we mature and since here in the USA we don't HAVE to mature, our attention spans don't get any longer.

I think Americans are largely selling themselves short.
Take TV. People want to be entertained more than taught. So networks provide entertainment. But there aren't many new ideas after 50 years and since standards were high at the start, the only way to go is down. However, the educational stuff is getting more awesome - I find I'm watching the History and National Geographic channels quite a bit.

I have an amazing attention span. I used to actually listen in 9 hour meetings.
