A new phrase I am tempted to use ALL THE DAMN TIME

One of our managers here at work, who is not known for his decisiveness, just dumped a project that I helped him set up (a project he volunteered to do) totally in my lap and then said: JUST RUN WITH IT.

I'm going to start unloading my shit on other hapless peons by saying JUST RUN WITH IT and walking away before they have time to react or ask questions.

Feel free to borrow the phrase. It is almost certainly sure to make your life less complex and also ensure that your personal workload will decrease.

Eurgh! I have one of those type of managers - Just do it! Is his phrase, they'll just have to do it... without thinking of the practicalities. In fact he is the manager above my line manager adn I really don't know what he does apart from think up impractical ideas at the last minute and want it done yesterday. Fecking useless shite that he is!

Hmm, I don't want to reinvent the wheel, so I'll need a proof of concept.

Try this next time someone uses that phrase on you:
Yeah. I'll run with it. Up your ASS!

You have led a charmed work life. My years in the administration field I had several projects dumped on me that I had to 'run with'!

Useless is right, babe. Most of upper management is. Love you.

Steph made a funny. Laugh.

Ms. Moon,
Excellent idea. Laugh.

Big Mark,
My sympathies.

I love you, too!

It just might.

Taking the advice. And running with it. (Better than running with scissors, which was my other option.)

what a dick. i hate that kind of thing.

on the flip side, i like telling someone what to do and when they make a face about it or protest, i say, "SUCK IT UP, SOLDIER." LOL. it makes me laugh. but i don't like when somebody says that to ME!

Just run with it...I like it. My most frequently used statement these days is "We'll see." I think it comes from being a mom...the kid asks for something, and I just respond, "We'll see.' But, now it has started to spill over every time ANYONE asks me for ANYTHING. My neighbor wants a ride to work, "We'll see." My child's father wants to take my son to a movie on Saturday, "We'll see." My parents want me to come for dinner next week, "We'll see."

And is an evasive enough answer that the asking party (AKA the bothering party) leaves me alone for at least another few hours!!!!

I will adopt that as a slogan for the day.
