Quote of the Damn Day: Garbo

In America you are all so happy. Why are you all so happy all the time? I am not always happy. Sometimes yes, sometimes no. When I am angry, I am very bad. I shut my door and do not speak.I

I LOVE frankness, honesty. It's so refreshing. And for the record, Greta Garbo had honest beauty, too. Her beauty was special. It was so powerful, it hit you so hard it was disorienting. I've never encountered anything like that since.

So many posts today!

Mug shot dude is certainly entertaining!

I don't even understand where people ever got the idea that dead people became angels. Doesn't make sense. Ghosts, maybe. But not angels - or demons!

I think I did that Run with it thing a couple times...worked for me!

Garbo IS gorgeous - think I like her better aged - like wine and cheese - and she had brain too!

Denny,
I agree about her beauty. Well put, as usual.

Young at Heart,
Damn tootin', honey.

Jeannie,
I love you. Enjoy the weekend.

Christina,
I go to bed, too--when I don't have to work. Love you tons!

Gleds,
Yes indeed.

See that is it... Americans act like they are meant to be happy which is precisely why so many of them are miserable and America exports that misery to the world.

Without the balance of sadness and happiness, you almost have to be either delusional or a mongoloid... maybe both. There is no balance and no way to appreciate anything... which is why many Americans are seen as ungrateful.

But wasn't this country started by the refuse of England? They needed to go somewhere they could feel validated without actually being good at anything.
