SB's Favorite Poem

In other words

the Egyptians loved the cat
were often entombed with it
instead of with the women
and never with the dog

but now
here
good people with
good eyes
are very few

yet fine cats
with great style
lounge about
in the alleys of
the universe.

about
our argument tonight
whatever it was
about
and
no matter
how unhappy
it made us
feel

remember that
there is a
cat
somewhere
adjusting to the
space of itself
with a delightful
grace

in other words
magic persists
without us
no matter what
we may try to do
to spoil it.

That may be one of Bukowski's sweetest poems. I love it. And I love you.

My cats have stretched, lounged, licked their butts and winked at me. They are a trip.

Cats have made a damn fine art out of butt licking.

i have to cut mangos butt hairs all the time and occasionally give her a messy bath due to poop.
the joys of a long haired cat, also then its the epic hairballs, of course puking one up on the kitchen floor is no fun preferably on my clothes i lazily left on the floor in the bedroom, sofa, or bed.

also having to cuddle right after taking a shit seems to be a must.
