SARCASTIC BASTARD BLOG
I can't even fucking believe it. But here's the irony- all those little neighborhood bookstores put out of business by the Big Ones. Now- all gone. Jesus.
That is the one thing that I love so very much about my little town. I can walk on foot to two neighborhood bookstores. They are both family owned. In the days of B & N, Amazon etc..it's a beautiful thing. I wish more people would make a point of patronizing their local businesses. Maybe other of our favorite places won't go the way of Borders...xoxo
Our local Borders went last year and is now an H&M. I buy pretty much everything from Amazon now. Unfortunately none of the bookshops can compete with their service or prices. I miss Borders! They did good coffee too xx
I am a Gen-X, lazy, manic-depressive bastard, with an eating disorder, OCD, and a propensity for alcoholism. I am basically hell to live with, but I enjoy red wine, Ritalin, reality TV, and disdainful cats. This description could also be useful as a personal ad for a dating service.

Damn. Why can't it be something like Sonic, if there's a space to fill?
That is sad. Did B and N do them in? Or was it Amazon?
Exactly. Borders used to have not only the best music, but great locations... said to see them go...

Syd,
I heard it was both Amazon and B & N.

never cared for borders. right wingers. but besides that, they didn't manage well.
the main problem with this of course is that, if no one is selling books but Amazon, will there be any reason to print books?
I guess I'm an even bigger dinosaur, now!
