People need to get a damn life.
My daughter wanted so much to be pretty that she begged from the time she was one until three to get her ears pierced (before then I bought her the plastic kiddie snap ons). We were at the mall and she saw a shop where someone was getting their ears pierced and begged me. I told her it would hurt very much but if she really wanted to, I was ok with it. She was a bit shocked at the stab of pain with the first one but didn't cry - took a couple of deep breaths and said to do the other. She listened to the rules about not touching - I did the cleaning. She did get infections later as we discovered she was allergic to nickel so we stuck to gold.
Pain is part of life. There is discomfort in achieving anything worthwhile.
So this is news now? What the fuck is wrong with people?
