I hope Terry Thompson rots in hell for this.

Where do I start here? My state (Ohio) has virtually NO restrictions on owning exotic animals. It is appalling and the reason for situations like this one. I also fault the fucking pathetic legal system in this less than great state. Why was this son-of-a-bitch allowed to keep these animals in the first place? In 2005, when Thompson was convicted of cruelty to animals, why didn't they take his animals away and place them elsewhere?

Please take a moment to sign this petition requesting that the sale of exotic pets in Ohio be restricted.

A shame they couldn't have rounded up the animals humanely. People are just so f*n crazy.

we heard about this on the news this morning- i agree- totally wrong and illogical that you live in a state that spends more time/ effort legislating carnival rides then exotic pets.

Jeannie,
I agree. I am still heartsick, especially because a lot of the dead were big cats.

Mrs. Miss A. & Mel,
You know Ohio is CRAZY as fuck. It is the most batshit state. I am convinced of it.

This absolutely broke my heart yesterday when viewed on the news...all those beautiful cats dead on the ground...Jack Hannah on World News was in tears...but evidently the authorities had no choice here...if that bastard who owned them wasn't dead I'm sorry to say I'd wish he was...Why didn't someone say this was just wrong, owning all those animals? How in the world did he feed them? The rules have to change. It's ridiculous.

This was a tragedy and should be an example of why we need regulations and the enforcement agencies to keep people from screwing up stuff...

Why couldn't they have been shot with a tranquilizer gun? I hated to see all of this. It made me sick at heart.
