I'm in a bit of funk my own self.

Did not read the article, just sayin.

Hope you're feeling chipper again soon.

It fits mine as well. Though I do believe that money can't buy you happiness, it is also hard to prove. The Getty's are that proof.

What I do resent the most is that it does grant you as many 'get out of jail' free cards as you can afford. If what was said about him at the time of his death is true, he prolly didn't deserve to feel as good about his worthless life as he did.

Hope that his Dad and Gramps got what they deserve somewhere along the way...

Big Mark,
Yeah, his dad and grandpa were awful. Unbelievable.

Love you. Hope your mood lifts.

Oh the poor sod. I know I was stupid enough at 24 that I could have wound up like him, and I didn't even have perspective warping excessive privilege or post traumatic stress syndrome to excuse it.

Tattytiara,
Welcome! Thanks for reading and commenting. If I had Getty's money, I would probably have ended up the same way. I know what you're saying.

Please come back and join us often. We have a damn good time here.

Love,

SB

Hi back, love!

Steph,
Looks like he's set to inherit BIG TIME now.

What a messed up bunch. Happiness is within. Not all the money in the world can buy that.

Dearest SB, I love it that you read the Mail. I try and avoid it most days as I get stuck on there for hours.

The Getty's were indeed a tragic and very unlucky family. Money did nothing for them. The only thing I'd have wanted from that family is Talitha's wardrobe.

Hope your week gets better. I have only just recovered from my weekend! I'd better get on with a backlog of stuff I've not done. Love you, C xx

Yeah, I've read the studies - it seems that $75,000/year is the cut off point. If you could earn that much, you'd be happier than, for instance, someone earning $40,000 year. But any more than that and happiness doesn't increase.
I remember when he was kidnapped. Seems like a lifetime ago.

Syd,
You are correctamundo, brother.

Christina,
Yes, you introduced me to Talitha in your terrific post. She was gorgeous.
Love you.

Lucy at Home,
That sounds about right to me, babe. Makes sense.

Love to all,

SB

When I was a younger man, I smoked a lot of pot. We used to say, "Dope can get you thorugh times with no money better than money can get you through times with no dope."
I also like the beatles, "I don't care too much for money, money can't buy you love."

I've added you to my side bar over at my place. You have the esteemed place right below Ms. Moon.

Peace
