Who knew it, but Robert Pattinson can actually act. This movie is the best film I have seen in years, and it totally redeems Pattinson from the schmaltz that is the
Twilight series. I kept waiting for the writer and director to ruin the film at the end, but it only got better.
Remember Me is actually pretty damn perfect. As Bob Dylan said, "Every one of them words rang true." And so did the actions of the characters. Pierce Brosnan did a splendid job as the hard-assed, cold father, and Chris Cooper knocks it out of the ballpark as a hardened police officer, struggling to come to terms with his wife's murder and his need to over-protect his only daughter.
Quote from Tyler (Robert Pattinson): Gandhi said that whatever you do in life will be insignificant, but it's very important that you do it because nobody else will.
Remember Me is a movie about love and loss, and I was deeply and profoundly moved by it. And if a bitch can move my dead cold stone creamery heart, that shit is GOOD.
Highly recommended. Two dicks up!

Thanks for the heads up. I don't care for the Twilighty RP, and was really pissed to hear he had been cast for the lead in Like Water for Elephants. Couldn't get my head around that one. I hate when a great book gets miscast into an awkward movie (The Time Traveller's Wife!!) But I will give Remember Me a chance, thanks to you, and try not to hold Twilight against Robert. Hope that deadline doesn't kick your ass!!
Mel,
Yeah, I think you'll enjoy it.
Love you.
Thanks for the tip and I will add it to my netflix. Too bad it will likely be Januaury before I get caught up on movie watching.
Mel,
Yeah, it's pretty damn great. I think you'll dig it.
If I can only remember the title. "Remember Me". Should be easy, right?
Love the Dylan quote from one of my favorite songs.
Looking forward to this one...thanks for the dicks up approval. Unfortunately, the end is spoiled for me (kid's friend with big mouth) but I'm still up for it. When I saw the preview I said to myself, yes, maybe that boy can "really" act. Glad to hear that I may be right.
Love ya, as always,
and hope the fucking deadline meets its dead line,
Jenn
Ms. Moon,
You are funn-ay. Crack me up.
You are also loved.
Jenn,
That's too bad. The ending is really special. I kept thinking--they're going to ruin this--it's too good. And they so didn't. The ending just made it great. But to be told the ending--what a drag. Still well worth it.
I love you, too. Glad to hear from you.

I must confess to being a Robert Pattison fan. Just something about him. Now, thanks to you, I will have a chance to see him act, and not just follow Bella around.
