I Just Like the Damn Picture, Okay?

Gerard and Guillaume Depardieu.

He was the enfant terrible of French cinema. A tormented soul who inherited his famous father's talent--along with his demons. It was a fatal combination that would send Guillaume Depardieu to an early grave.

I like it, too. Both fantastic actors. I hope Gerard finds peace some day soon, I love the guy.

Ruth,
I love you. You kill me. There are few people I'd rather have drinks with.

Vix,
I am well, thank you. I love you, too. I hope you have a great weekend.

Gerard Depardieu's son is dead then? I remember him getting arrested bringing some quantity of heroin into France via Belgium... at the time Ecstasy was all the rage here and heroin seemed decidedly old-school...

Hey did you hear about Gerard urinating into a bottle at the back of a plane after being denied access to the toilet? The plane turned around and he was frogmarched off. That's absolutely classic!

Guillaume was quite the tortured soul... his disconnect with his Dad and his sis made me think of how I lost the lines with my Mom and my sibs... I can only hope I am not driven to such anguish...

Young at heart,
YES. Exactly.

Gleds,
Yes, Guillaume is dead. I posted about Gerard's pissing-on-the-plane debacle a little while back.

Big Mark,
I certainly hope you are not driven to such anguish, as well. Love you.

Another tormented soul is right. The father looks hard and the son looks innocent.

SB- What a beautiful picture. Father and son. Both handsome men. Too young to die. Too young to be so tortured. The article was very interesting reading. Great post SB, as usual...xoxo
