SB's favorite television show THAT I NEVER MISS and THAT I JUST FOUND THIS SEASON, because I'm a little slow, is Rescue Me. Denis Leary's character, Tommy, is a hot mess, and also he's the sort of guy SB would make a beeline for. Fucker likes kinky sex play. Plus, he's got great hair.
Do any of you regular motherfuckers watch Rescue Me? [If you're not a regular reader, I don't care about your opinion--you've got to earn your stripes around here.] Just curious. I am asking for your thoughts and opinions. Now's your chance. Normally, I'm too self-centered to give a fuck. So chime in!
If you haven't watched the damn show, feel free to lament that fact, but don't opine, because basically, you have no knowledge base to operate from, and that would make you like an evangelical Christian talking about abortion or politics. [Apologies to Brother Frankie, who is the exception to the rule, and his opinion is ALWAYS welcome here.]

SB,
I love this show. I discovered it this year online and I've watched every season except for the current one, so I've got to catch up. And you're right (as always), people who don't watch the show can't talk about it because they just don't know how great it is. And they've always got great guest stars on like Micheal J. Fox, Susan Sarandon, Marisa Tomei.... Oh I just love it. And it's funny.
Love,
May
No opinion. Never saw it. I'll see if I can find it and watch it. If you say so.
I haven't watched and I'm not at all sure why. I like Dennis.
Oh, right. I can only watch the PG rated stuff. By the time the kids go to bed I'm dead for the day.

Hey, I've watched the show a few times. I love Denis Leary tho, he's just great, did you see the movie 'the Ref' he was in a few years back? Great movie.
Doug
Doug,
I haven't see The Ref. I'll watch it if I get the opportunity.
SB, you know what a jerk nerd I am. I watch the news and the weather channel. I'm seriously out of it when it comes to main line TV.
You watch too much TV. Haven't I chided you about this before? When are you going to start listening to total strangers who drop by your blog.
Lou,
You are hardly a total stranger.
Love,
SB
Syd,
You're hardly a jerk nerd. You just have better things to focus your intelligence on. My mind is shot to hell from years of drinking. The mindlessness of TV is a relief to me!
Love,
SB
I guess we will get it soon, we do most of the time. You have some good exports and not so good stuff. Good is Simpsons, Mad Men, all those suits lovely, House, ugly betty, family guy. Bad is Desperate housewives, can some one tell me what it was about.Sex in the city, apart from KIm catrell a good ol brit. Ive been listening to the radio today and you boys and girls over there are non to happy with us and the scots. Its a bit of a mess and thats the truth. Take care SB
Dearest Findon,
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THE UK! We Americans certainly have no room to throw stones or to be unhappy with anybody else, when we elected George W. Bush (the asshole who started the Iraq War and drug you all into it with us) twice. There could be no worse crime than that. I'm not unhappy with Britain at all.
Sending love. You are dear to me.

SB, I just found Rescue this season. It was awesome. I was going to mention it to you, but I seriously thought you didn't like main stream shit, but this I would consider far from it. Best scene written would have to be the one a few weeks back, when the guy (I can't remember all the names yet)had the orange dick and all the other guys came to look at it--to help of course. And my other fav, from the season ender--the two hoes getting into a brawl on the street, shoes flying, beating a guy who buts in with a trash can lid, throwing bricks...seriously...got to love it. Not to mention the terrific dialogue throughout all the show. Will you take in Nip Tuck when it comes back in October? That's my other show of, well, sick-surgery-sex fascination, and dick size subject matter.
Love ya, Jenn
Jenn,
I loved the cat fight on Rescue Me, too! I have been thinking about catching Nip Tuck, but I watch so much TV right now, I'm not sure I want to take on anything else. I need to read more, but I am so tired in the evenings after staring at the computer all day, I don't even want to read. How sad is that?
Big love,
SB
