Yeah, the problem with silver-spooners is they've always been given everything, so as adults they still feel entitled to everything. It's all about the money. They can't way for the guy who did the hard things to die, so they can collect and spend his money. No wonder he hated them. He must have seen them as weak-minded worthless leaches. And I love his way of giving them what they deserved.

I like that he didn't bestow the money on a pet dog or something stupid like that. The fact that he left it to descendants showed that he did believe that family was important - just those he'd met were greedy - he did leave an allowance for some right? His favourite got $30,000 a year which was a LOT of money 100 years ago.
