Yvette Vickers and why beauty and a happy life are not synonymous.
I don't understand why it took a year to find her. Didn't the mailman notice mail wasn't picked up? Was her hydro paid? Who were the "friends" she had that never checked on her. Creepy. Sad.
Classic physical beauty is an interesting thing. It is so important to so many people. Yvette definitely had it when she was young. But take away the make-up, the do, the clothes, the sexually charged context, and the photographer's magic...
Inner beauty - the good, strong person you are - lasts forever. And side-by-side with physical beauty, inner beauty trumps every time.
And it's that inner strength that guides our actions, which as we all know, have consequences.
I am a Gen-X, lazy, manic-depressive bastard, with an eating disorder, OCD, and a propensity for alcoholism. I am basically hell to live with, but I enjoy red wine, Ritalin, reality TV, and disdainful cats. This description could also be useful as a personal ad for a dating service.

Would it just be really, really wrong of me to say that it's a good thing she didn't have cats?

How sad. She had friends? But no one thought to check on her for maybe a year?

Poor Yvette...
Ms. Moon,
With the dark mood I'm in today, the cats comment actually made me laugh.
Thank you!
Bloody Hell, what a sad end. xxx
Vix,
You can say that again, sister.
