When I was a little kid, Nana, this nice old broad who lived next door to us, bought me a little book showing what kitties like and DO NOT like. It included helpful shit, like how to hold a kitty so your eyes don't get scratched out. Thanks, Nana! (Her ancient ass is probably dead now.) Basically, if a moggy's damn ears are flat, a bitch is NOT enjoying the enforced bonding experience, and a hapless human bitch is about to get slashed and gashed.And then, there is the particular feline mode of expression in the photo above. Check out kitty's face. Bitch on the couch is about to lose his damn testicles.

I have a cat who really likes to be held like this.
Ooooh that's funny. Better even than the time I got to see the Texas Highway Patrol pull over a taxicab-yellow hummer who had tailgated and then passed me at 100mph.
My poor old Harry cat, even on the last day of his 21 years, would have left gashes on any fool crazy enough to try the posture in the picture.

I've found that every cat has a personal preference for cuddling. I once had a 20-pound cat who loved to be carried around on my shoulders with his paws resting on my chest, "fireman's carry" fashion. He was cool.

Oh, I LOVE it when people pet cats for too long. They pet them and pet them, and they think they are liking it, but they only like it for about 15 seconds, and then, you can see them start to collapse in, bit by bit, and the poor human thinks they are enjoying it, and then inch by inch the cat starts to swivel around and the back legs come up and the dumb person thinks they want their belly rubbed, and then... BLAM! It's over.
