[Note for my motherfuckers who do not reside in the States: MADD stands for Mothers Against Drunk Driving.]
Hello.
My name is Sheila and I am with Mother's Against Drunk Driving. Would you like to join us in our fight to prevent drunk driving today?
Actually, I'm for drunk driving.
[Long silence.] Excuse me?
You heard it right.

You know, Modern Drunkard Magazine ran some good articles about MADD and how it's veered completely off course from educating against drunk driving to trying to force de facto prohibition.
Any magazine named Modern Drunkard, I adore. Laugh.
I adore you too, but you know that.
You gotta love it.

And I love you!
madd is like straight edge. it went from a good thing that raised public awareness about a huge problem to a clique that wanted only a militant militia of hardliner teetotalers....
i mean if some kid comes up to you and punches you in the face because you are smoking at a show things have taken a turn...
xxalainaxx
Driving and drinking is something that scared the crap out of me when I was a kid. I drive down long country roads to get home and would be glad not to encounter a veering drunk barreling into me. Get them off the road IMO.
You're posting from vacation???
OK, it's selfish but I'm tickled.
Hope you have a great holiday. Get away from daily life and enjoy yourself.
LOL!! If they weren't so smug, I wouldn't drive drunk!!
I love it...
SB- regarding your comment on my blog-
thank you.
and
i think you
turned out
just
great.
xo
Well George Washington had a dog called Drunkard. Don't suppose he let it drive, though. Well not very often...
In the old days, we never went out drinking without tying a yellow ribbon on the antenna.
LOL!!!
Dear SB, we have nothing like that here. It made me laugh though. I hope you're having a wonderful weekend, much love, C xx
I'm a member of DAMM Drunks against Mad Mothers ;)
Lulu
Mrs. Miss A.,
Yeah, fuckers are out of control.
Syd,
I had those long country roads with big ditches on either side to drive down, too. Luckily our area of the town was pretty sparsely populated so I never had to worry too much. My sympathies, brother.
Mel,
I think you and A. are pretty damn cool, too!
Kathleen,
It was great. Thank you.
Big Mark,
I hear you, buddy.
BMelonsLemonade,
Thanks for the follow. I appreciate it.
Maggie,
Thanks, doll. You and the family are in my thoughts. And I think you are a terrfic mom. The kids are lucky to have you.
Mark,
I've never heard of that before.
West Hollywood,
You know SB loves you!
Christina,
You are lucky. Actually, the UK is just way more sensible.
Lulu,
I love that! Thanks for reading me.
