loved John and his message too, but couldn't help putting my own twisted spin on things when i saw today that two places under 'John Lennon Quotes' on most googled phrases is one 'Mark Chapman'. which is proof, if proof be needed, that if you go and blow a celebrity's head off you'll become nearly as famous as they are.

I was 6 when he died, but I can't dent his influence on music from the Beatles and continuing to this day-I listen to his music as much as any other artist in my hard drive.
My where does all the time go. I remember feeling numb when I heard. One of the few celebrity deaths that really mattered to me.
He was the Beatle for me. Just downloaded some of his tunes. Good stuff. Hard to believe that it has been 30 years--seems like yesterday.
