Two dicks up!
I read the novel and liked the movie almost as much as the book. It's the kind of movie that hangs with you for awhile afterwards though. I was uneasy all night after viewing it. It makes the audience aware of how little we can do to protect those we love. The film also makes the point that the only thing that survives a death is love. When a person dies, a relationship lives on.
Also, Stanley Tucci is creepy as fuck as the murderer.

Read the book. Will not be watching the movie. Nope. Not even for you, my beloved Ms. B.
I really want to see this movies although like you say it will scare me that I know . I have two sons as you know, just starting their teens, everything lies ahead for them .. well that is the point I am trying to make .. I hope it does xx
Ms. Moon & Ruth,
You are both good mamas. I can see how the book/movie would be awful to read/view. I don't have children and found it extremely upsetting. I can't imagine anything worse than losing a child.
Love you two.
It was a tragically sad but beautiful movie. A lot of mumbo jumbo in it too but appealing nonetheless. Plus it does give the message that life moves on and we all have to go forward despite great loss.
It is on my list. But I know myself well enough to know that I had better stock up on the kleenex first.
Love you!
i tried to read the book when it first came out. only got to page 10and i had to put it down. i still don't think i could get through it.
and i adore stanley tucci so seeing him be a creepy murderous fuck would ruin him for me.
SEE CRAZY HEART!!!
It was a good movie and he was very creepy.
Michelle,

Love you.
I've been wanting to see this, but was told it was no good. I trust your taste, though. Netflix, here I come!
Ginger,
I think you'll like it.
Love you!
I read the book years ago...I enjoyed it at the time...if you can say you enjoyed it. Not sure I'm strong enough to watch the film at the moment. hope you are okay. xx
