From a Morning E-mail to My Idol Ms. Moon
I try and just look at prayer as “keeping a good thought.” The energy (intention) behind the bullshit is good.
I figure it's meant with good intent,so I leave it at that when someone says they will pray for something-telling people to actually do something tangible was just starting arguments.
I totally agree with this line of thought. I've always said "I'm keeping a good thought" or "you're in my thoughts." When someone tells me they will pray for me (happens almost every day, I am a complete wreck in almost all aspects of my life) I usually take it with good grace. I am not religous or prayerful. I consider myself a spiritual person, but not in a deep, born again sense or like a monk who rings bells or spends all day in deep meditation. I do have spiritual and moral standards I wouldn't transgress, though I might have pushed them when I was younger :) I wouldn't do it now. Probably.
I am a Gen-X, lazy, manic-depressive bastard, with an eating disorder, OCD, and a propensity for alcoholism. I am basically hell to live with, but I enjoy red wine, Ritalin, reality TV, and disdainful cats. This description could also be useful as a personal ad for a dating service.

Mr. Mischief,
I agree.

Glad your muse is back from her bender. I have a lot to write today and you're a good head-clearing to start.
Denny posted about sweet Harry yesterday. I thought you might like to see it: http://ow.ly/2esEA
Hope today is good for you.
Kathleen,
Thank you. I didn't know Denny has a blog. I dig Denny, so I will rush over to check that shit out.
Love you!
