Word of the Week: Constituency

Word of the Week: constituency

Southern Pronunciation: con/stit/yency

Sentence: That old boy's got hisself a big ol' constituency cause he's for allowing folks to take they libations with 'em in a traveller (pronounced: trav/luh).

Translation: That good old boy politician has quite a lot of voters in his electoral district voting for him because he's for allowing patrons to take their drinks from a restaurant in a to-go cup.

See how it loses something in the translation? Some words can only be done justice by putting them in a southern dialect.

And don't y'all be insulting southern people in the comments section. My people were southern. I will fuck your yankee ass up! Nothing makes me madder than some superior, uppity-ass northerner.
