I have always thought that gay parents were probably in general better equipt and more empathetic parents because they KNOW what it is like to have to stand against the cold wind of society's disapproval and fight so hard just to be accepted. And not just in puberty, but their whole lives.

Have you seen that HBO documentary about one of Rosie's Gay Family cruises? It makes me cry every time I watch it, especially this one part with two gay dads getting their flock of children ready for their wedding to each other.

They are great. I'm really glad that I am open minded, except when it comes to Glenn and Rush.
I think gay parents are even better parents than most. They are always trying to go above and beyond to prove they are worthy.
I love the fact that our society says they are not fit parents but I know gay couples who have adopted older children with medical and mental disabilities and taken in infants (on an emergency foster basis) born to drug addicted mothers that the heterosexual adopters won't even consider. Funny how that works, huh?
