I Had a Good Teacher

I just miss him today. Actually, I miss him most days.

I love love your picture of Kurt in the hydrangeas! I used to fantasize about meeting him when I lived in Indianapolis, and I miss him too. He has exactly the right perspective. Every single time I read one of his books I cry. Breakfast of champions makes me blubber in the first pages, it's so beautiful and real. I think Mr. Vonnegut and a few other authors have saved my life over and over again.

He makes a few appearances in John Irving's new book, you can feel how hard he misses him too.
Hope you can make it through to end so I can talk to somebody about it!

Thanks, Mel. KV was very precious to me and to a lot of people. I hear him in my head whenever I get stuck in life.

I will finish that book by Irving. I promise. I know that a lot of times with Irving you have to wait for the pay off. I am so willing to do that with him.

Love, SB.

Headbang8,
I did know that already, and the fact that you do, makes me like you already. Please join us here often. We have a damn good time.

Best,

Bless his heart. In this picture he is reminding me of what I picture "dad" to look like.

Classic.
