My Favorite Television Show

Okay, I'm retarded. I am joining the show at season 3, because I just got HBO and Showtime recently. [The husband would never let me have the extra cable channels, but I'm a divorcee/rebel now.]

I love this show. Just love it. I watched all of season 3 over the weekend.

Duchovny's character and I share about the same stress/excitement level about life. We are about one step above a corpse. Depression is good for your blood pressure.

May I suggest on Showtime, Weeds & Nurse Jackie. Two of the best series on TV!

Shit. I'm so glad you have the good cable now, I'd divorce my man if he cut off my HBO and Showtime. Californication, Weeds, TrueBlood, Nurse Jackie, Dexter, Entourage. Oh my. How I suffer when they are in the off season. Two thirds a year I wait for a new fix. I'm trying not to get addicted to anymore shows, but I'm really struggling. So many good shows.

And yes, David is channeling a person so completely resigned to the bullshit that is life and so addicted to trying to feel anything anymore, he's my favorite modern tragic hero, that guy. Did you watch the last one from this season???? Did you not cry as Elton sang his sad song and you watched the hurt on her face when he finally told her the whole truth? It was devastatingly excellent entertainment.

But I digress, as always. I'm so glad you're a rebel now, and I don't have to pity you your lack of premium channels - they can be such a great diversion, make you laugh and cry and feel oddly more normal. How many more months until we get new episodes???

I keep meaning to watch this but I forget. I can't keep up with the shows I think I watch now. TV is evil.

Amy, my dear, you can suggest them, but I already watch too goddamn much TV as it is. I hardly read anymore. I do plan on checking out Weeds though. I've heard too much good about it.

I like Diary of a Call Girl and The Tudors very much.

Love, SB.

Jeannie,
It is evil. The worst kind of drug.
