My question is: Why did George Peppard wind up with a career that went all A-Team and shit? Fucker was cute.
And wasn't it sort of rascist casting Mickey Rooney as Mr. Yunioshi?

I confess: I have NEVER seen the movie. Not a clue. I think I'm the only one alive.

Not heard of it either. And that's the first time I've ever heard the words "George Peppard" and "cute" in the same sentence. :)

I saw it a million years ago and was probably too young to appreciate. I'll have to give it a watch now that I'm a grown up.
Stop laughing.
I mean it. Shut up.
Steph,
Who's laughing?
It's a wonderful movie, pity you've not seen it Dougie. You're missing out. And SB, yes it was extremely racist to cast Rooney in that role, but no more so than all the white "injuns" in all of the old Westerns. I think it was mostly un unconscious racism of the times.

I love you Malchik! I miss you when you don't come around.
Love, SB.
My dear SB, Breakfast at Tiffany's is one of my all time favorite movies. I've lost count of how many times that I've seen it. I agree, George Peppard was lovely. I could've eaten him up with a spoon. Okay, now I'm humming "Moon River."
Hell yeah, casting Mickey Rooney as Mr. Yunioshi was racist casting but it wasn't uncommon at the time. I think that they were too damn insensitive to even recognize how racist it was.
