Quote of the Day
Just because I was out at the bars all the time didn't mean I wasn't looking for someone to love.
Great picture. Hope your lasik works out. My corneas are too thin. I tried about 5 years back. I'd vowed when I was 20 that I would get it done. Never dreamt I could fail the test.
That's so weird that you brought up Maplethorpe today of all days. I was just reading about him and Patti Smith in this month's Vogue of all places. Interesting. Very Interesting.
It's kind of lame that these days looks have so much to do with whether or not a person becomes famous. Talent has so little to do with it. Patti Smith would be so ridiculed on, say, American Idol. So would Janis Joplin and Leonard Cohen, and where would we be without them?
Great quote. Here is mine that i posted on Facebook today..Anybody can be a bum; all it takes is the right girl, the right bar and the right friends, and you are well … your buddies will see you off. They'll christen your dumpster for you. Bill Hicks. Whatever works for you in life...that is my motto..lovely photo as well dear...lol..
Almost fifteen years ago I went through a phase of hitting nightclubs 'just for the sheer wild fun of it' I told myself. I happened to meet someone. Fastforward to today and I'm still with the same bloke.
I am a Gen-X, lazy, manic-depressive bastard, with an eating disorder, OCD, and a propensity for alcoholism. I am basically hell to live with, but I enjoy red wine, Ritalin, reality TV, and disdainful cats. This description could also be useful as a personal ad for a dating service.

He was quite an artist. I think that we are all looking for someone to love.

Hi Nigel,
Welcome. That's really great that you're still with the same guy.
Please come back and join us often. Thank you for reading and commenting.
Best, SB.
I was just reading about him, too. I think Patti Smith has a memoir coming out soon.
Ginger,
That book has been out awhile. I just ordered it yesterday.
Love, SB.
